A Letter from Us

OMantra Home is a heartfelt family sanctuary founded by Gus and Dayu — a Balinese couple whose deep love for nature, culture, and ancestral wisdom has shaped every corner of this space. Without planning it, we were gently led to this land — guided, as we believe, by the silent whispers of our ancestors.
From the name OMantra itself — where “OM” represents the Divine in Balinese Hinduism, and Mantra signifies the sacred sound that carries spiritual power — every name within the home is infused with meaning. Whether it’s the rooms, the Third Eye of Shiva that names our 3rd Eye Lounge, the Nine Chakras that inspired our circular Gazebo, or the fish ponds shaped like Yin-Yang and the heart — all reflect our spiritual journey and reverence for life.
Together with our daughter Vida and our small dedicated crew, we care for this home as a family — loving its traditions, its people, and the land itself, a sacred gift from nature and the universe. OMantra is rooted in community. We work hand-in-hand with local partners — from Aling-Aling trekking and Canyoning guides to nearby warungs and families who prepare food and offer laundry services. This is not charity — it’s togetherness. We also collaborate with village elders and adat leaders to keep the land sacred and thriving — a divine gift to be shared and preserved.
It is a home far away from home for those who seek beauty, stillness, and soulful connection. At OMantra, you are not just welcomed — you are embraced by the spirit of family, tradition, and the land itself.

Crafted from recycled wood and upcycled furniture — a quiet tribute to sustainability and soulful living — each space blends seamlessly with the land. Surrounded by rice paddies, rolling hills, and ocean views, every room invites a warm, grounded, and heartful atmosphere.

You may book individual rooms — or reserve the entire villa for a completely private experience.

Every corner of OMantra is designed to soothe the senses and touch the soul. From the cozy 3rd Eye Lounge, perfect for reading or relaxing, to the serene Chakra Gazebo for yoga and quiet reflection. The Yin-Yang Pond invites stillness or movement, offering a space to simply be — surrounded by rice fields, hills, and ocean views. Float in the Infinity Pools, gaze at the North Bali horizon, or gather by the bonfire under the stars with the sound of flowing water.

Guests are welcome to use our shared kitchen and grill — to cook, connect, or create something nourishing. At OMantra, every space is a quiet offering — from nature, to you.

We Are Here?

There’s a reason people are drawn to Sambangan — often called Bali’s Secret Garden. This quiet village, nestled in the northern hills, is where nature flows freely: seven waterfalls hidden deep in the jungle, rice terraces that glow at sunrise, and a sacred Blue Lagoon that feels like a well-kept secret.

OMantra was not built here by chance, but by a deeper calling — to offer a space where people can rest, reconnect, and remember what truly matters. Whether you come to explore the magic of North Bali, to trek, swim, and adventure, or simply to breathe, heal, and be still — OMantra is your peaceful base.

We are also deeply inspired by how the local community cares for this land. The villagers have formed nature-conscious groups that not only protect the environment, but also guide you through the waterfalls with heart and wisdom. It is an honor for us to support and contribute to their efforts.

We are here because this place is special. And maybe, you are here because a part of you is ready to come home — to nature, to silence, to yourself.

Each morning begins with a lovingly prepared breakfast included in your stay. You can enjoy it at the 3rd Eye Lounge while watching the village sl owly awaken, or choose to have it served in your room, even by the poolside for a more relaxed start to the day.

Shared Kitchen to Cook & Connect

Guests are welcome to use our shared kitchen — a space to cook, share, and create nourishing meals together. We also provide barbeque facilities (with a small extra charge), and our staff will gladly assist in sourcing fresh ingredients and helping you prepare them.

Easy Transportation

Exploring Bali feels so much easier when transportation is well arranged. Once your booking is confirmed, we are happy to connect you with our trusted drivers — local guides who can pick you up from anywhere on the island, organize day trips, and even accompany you at some destinations.

Discovering North Bali’s Treasures

From OMantra, many of North Bali’s top destinations are within easy reach — from just 20 minutes away up to about 1.5 hours, depending on where your journey takes you. We would be delighted to help arrange these trips for you with our trusted partners and providers. Imagine starting your morning with dolphin watching at sunrise in Lovina, exploring the colorful underwater world while snorkeling or diving at Menjangan Island or Pemuteran, or taking a leisurely walk through Munduk’s lush plantations.

Nature Adventures Trekking & Canyoning

For nature lovers, we offer trekking packages ranging from scenic short walks to full-day adventures. For thrill-seekers, the Aling-Aling complex is home to exhilarating canyoning. We collaborate with Darwis Guide — the local community managing Aling-Aling Waterfall — as well as professional canyoning companies that prioritize both safety and unforgettable experiences. We offer the same fair prices they do, and we carefully select the most experienced and knowledgeable guides for you.

Living Close to Nature

OMantra is embraced by open nature — rice fields, hills, and fresh mountain air. With this gift comes the company of small creatures that share the land with us. From frogs singing at night, to field mice passing by, or a caterpillar resting on a leaf in the garden — these are gentle reminders that we are part of nature’s rhythm. We kindly ask you to be mindful of this natural harmony before deciding to stay with us. If you are comfortable with such encounters, you will find OMantra to be an authentic sanctuary where nature and humans coexist beautifully.

Healing & Inner Journey

OMantra is a peaceful sanctuary for healing and retreat. Within the villa, we can arrange traditional massages, yoga sessions, or meditation. For a deeper spiritual experience, we also offer purification rituals at a sacred temple nearby — a beautiful way to reconnect with yourself and embrace the spiritual energy of Bali.

The 3rd Eye Lounge & Around the Villa

The 3rd Eye Lounge is the heart of OMantra — a place to relax, read, or simply sip your favorite drink. Our bar serves coffee, tea, cocktails, beer, wine, and light bites. If you’d prefer local flavors, restaurants, warungs, and minimarkets are just a short walk away — or let us order them for you to enjoy right here at OMantra.
